BELLEFONTE — A Wampum man serving a prolonged sentence in reference to the 2017 demise of his new child son has died in prison.

Christopher Lee Kennedy, 42, was found unresponsive in his cell Jan. 28 at State Correctional Institute Rockview in Centre County.

Both prison employees and EMS employees tried life-saving measures as he was taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center, the place he was pronounced dead at 5:10 p.m.
