India, UAE sign trade and investment agreement – statement

NEW DELHI : India and the United Arab Emirates signed a trade and investment agreement on Friday that would almost double the worth of their dealings, the Indian authorities stated.

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is anticipated to push bilateral trade to $100 billion within the subsequent 5 years from a present degree of $60 billion, a authorities statement stated.

The deal was introduced after a digital summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
