Japan finds body of missing F-15 crewman

TOKYO: Japan’s airforce mentioned Sunday (Feb 13) that it had recovered the body of one of two crewmen of a fighter jet that went missing two weeks in the past.

The F-15 fighter jet was on a coaching mission on Jan 31 when it disappeared from radar shortly after taking off from Komatsu airbase within the central Ishikawa area, sparking a seek for its missing crew.

The airforce mentioned a body was discovered on Friday by the navy throughout search operations within the Sea of Japan.
