A Republican member of the House is saying his office will not comply with the Washington, D.C., vaccine mandate or do enterprise with others who do.
Rep. Thomas Massie, Kentucky Republican, took to Twitter on Thursday night to denounce the town’s order, which takes impact Sunday, requiring that individuals present proof of vaccination to enter any D.C. fitness center, restaurant, bar, nightclub, sports activities venue or convention middle.
“The DC vaccine mandate kicks in this weekend. My office will not comply. We will not show papers,” Mr. Massie mentioned, including that noncompliance would imply boycotting D.C. companies.
The DC vaccine mandate kicks on this weekend. My office will not comply. We will not present papers. We will not order takeout from eating places that require papers for dine in. We will get our meals from Virginia or we are going to convey it to work. Shame has befallen our nation’s capital.

Mr. Massie, the co-chairman of the Second Amendment Caucus, concluded that “shame has befallen our nation’s capital.”
